Public Chrome Web Store (post-launch)

Once the extension is live:
  1. Open the extension’s Chrome Web Store page (link appears here at launch).
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Click Add extension in the confirmation dialog.
  4. Pin the icon: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome’s toolbar → pin Yoinka.

Beta / sideload

Early access builds are shipped as an unpacked folder:
  1. Unzip the build somewhere stable (e.g. ~/Library/Application Support/Yoinka/extension/).
  2. Open chrome://extensions.
  3. Toggle Developer mode (top-right).
  4. Click Load unpacked → select the unzipped folder.
  5. Pin the icon via the puzzle-piece.
Sideloaded extensions stop receiving auto-updates. We’ll email you when a new build is available so you can refresh the folder and hit Reload on the extensions page.

First-run setup

  1. Click the Yoinka icon in the toolbar.
  2. Click Connect Yoinka account — a yoinka.com tab opens.
  3. Sign in (or create an account). You’re bounced back to the extension.
  4. Click Options to review your profile. The extension reuses whatever is in your Yoinka account.

Uninstall

chrome://extensions → find Yoinka → Remove. Your Yoinka account and data are unaffected.
